I love this ring so much, it is a Rhodolite Garnet surrounded by diamonds with rubies set on the band. This one is for sale.

Thanks again, yes I love filligre. Working with wire frustrates me, so I try to get the same effect with cutt-out.

Yeah, I have to make a filligree wedding ring. I've never done the style before but I think I'm going to do it all in wax, cause she wants it not bigger then 1mm wide and to fit her wedding ring. Any tips to filligree? lol

wow, only 1mm wide?? That doesnt leave you with much play to create a pattern. If it was me I would cut it out of a 'solid' ring. That way you know your joins are secure. But if you have to do it with wire, you should work out the final length you need, then do the whole filligre finished while it lies flat. Then you bend it into a ring. I hope this helps?

Yeah its tiny, her wedding ring is tiny with a big blue sapphire on it. Thats why i was thinking of doing it in wax, cause its more flexible then wires itself. I figured, I'd start out with a strip either of metal or wax and do the filligree thing over it. You know, I could just cast the filligree design on a solid metal strip. Did you know that works? We tested it in the studio, you can cast on a solid metal! I won't know if it will help until I start doing the design. They are locals and friends of my mom's....we have a schedule to meet later in the week, but I wanted ahead start so she can approve the design and such.
